Today on the BBC website they are telling the story of a school in Wolverhampton. Budget cuts mean that they have had to sack 14 teachers – and the school has more than 300 holes in its roof.
The headmaster has a £350,000 budget shortfall for next year and the repairs to the roof will cost £5M. The shortfall will no doubt mean fewer teachers and bigger class sizes.
