Responding to reports the Cabinet is plotting to oust the Prime Minister at the same time emergency plans for a no-deal Brexit could be inacted, Liberal Democrat Brexit Spokesperson Tom Brake said:
“The country is at a perilous crossroads. People are deeply worried, which is why one million took to the streets in London to demand a final say on Brexit.
"Instead of listening, however, the Conservatives have descended into a grubby civil war with plots to remove the Prime Minister. May might be in office, but she is already out of power.
"It doesn’t need to be this way. The national embarassment that is Brexit can be stopped. Liberal Democrats have led the campaign for a final say and this week in Parliament we will once again seek to secure a People’s Vote, with the option to stay in the EU."
